2. Need Money for buses for field trips

        – We have $542 right now

        – Need total of around $850 to fund two field trips

5. Sign ups for Club Rush

        – Need people to sell clothing, sign people up, and walk around advertising

         – Should we change the logo and colors?

         -are we getting hoodies?

         -should we change the sweater and shirt colors?

        -Other than the sweaters and T-shirts we have now, possible clothing for the future includes: Shorts, Hats, Hoodie Sweaters, and Long-Sleeved T-shirts.

        -Garage Sale

        -Cosmic Bowling

3. Ms. Nuguid

        -Clear Creek Outdoor School (Camp)

        -1 weekend  for ~60 people

        – AMC academy students only

        -Fundraise for the buses

4. Mr. Ortega

        -Talk to Mr. McPhee about linking the AMC Blog to the  “Contact” section of the school website next to Mr. Ortega and Ms. Culp’s names.

        -Ask Mrs. Milis for the code for the Banned Books slide-show she has on her blog

In today’s meeting, we talked about:

*Banned Books Week

         -Is the first week of October

         -Ask Mrs. Culp if she needs help (Yuli)

*Club Rush-**

         -October 16 at Nutrition and Lunch

         -Recruit in Advisories

         – **EVERYONE in the club must pair up with one other AMC student and make a poster to hang up around the school and to draw people to our table at Club Rush

*Announcements

         -Will be written by Jessica the whole year.

         -Need announcements to advertise the club and our other events.

*Flyers

         -Mr. Ortega will be making flyers to post around the school.

*Officers

        -We will be electing new officers either next week or the week after due to the small number of members in the club at the moment.

Today was the first official AMC Club meeting. Only 5 people showed up! Let’s do better next time

Here’s what we discussed:

1. We now meet every THURSDAY at lunch in Room 224
2. Constitution- Make any changes
3. Recruitment- Make an AMC Club video to show in advisories and also recruit during Club Rush
4. Leadership positions such as: President, V.P. , Secretary, Treasurer, Historian, Web Team Captain, and Promotions Team Captain will be discussed at the next meeting.

I want to welcome you back and look forward to working with you this year. As your new AMC sponsor, I am happy to say that there is much to look forward to as we have various activities already lined up. The first line of activity though is to get started and for that we need you to get involved. Meetings are EVERY THURSDAY in room 224. See you there!
